Linux Backbox

 Backbox is ubuntu based linux distribution. Developed for the needs of penetration testing and security assessments. In design in order to run fast, easy to use, and with a minimal desktop environtment.Back box is equipped with a wide range of applications for"hacking".

Backbox is using xfce as the desktop standard environtmentnya. Ingetestnya on a netbook with atom processors, and runs very fastand smooth. And booting using SDCard, through unetbootin.

When trying to run a web browser and Firefox, the application does not directly run properly. Must be run through the terminal, can runthe new firefox. I use a wifi internet connection, and easilydetectable (ZTE AC30). Then there yet in terms of browser flashplugin. So it needs to be given additional plugins. Then when running mp3 player, media player also has not been able to run it.(It's on video).

Record my desktop and applications run very smoothly, but using the netbook intel atom. The results can be seen on video. When using gnome or kde desktop. With this netbook I can not recordproperly.

But the above is in terms of desktop needs a backbox is notoptimized for desktop needs. Backbox just like backtrack optimized for the needs of penetration, security, or hacking. Applications areavailable in full in the backbox. However because of the limitations of my knowledge. I was not able to take advantage of these tools.Hopefully next time I try to learn it.
