Backtrack is a linux distribution which is a derivative of slackware which was the merger of whax and auditor security collection. Backtrack two released on March 6, 2007 which included more than 300 security tool while the beta version of backtrack 3 was released on December 14, 2007 that the third release of this more focused to support the hardware. While the version of backtrack 3 was released on June 19, 2008 on backtrack 3 versions of this include saint and maltego while nessus is not included as well as retain the kernel version 2.6.21.5.  And the latest IE backtrack 4 and now the newest again in 2012 has emerged that backtrack 5
